INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION AND GLOBALIZATION: CUSTOMS, SOCIAL ATTITUDES AND CULTURAL VALUES

10-days intensive, which gives the students an opportunity to have a deep understanding of communicative barriers, the causes of intercultural conflicts and adapt to different cultural settings. The course is intended to present essential concepts of national and global culture, national and universal values, and major theories of intercultural communication. It also incorporates cross-cultural trainings of intercultural competence, tolerance and assertiveness which can help the students to foresee communicative barriers, understand the causes of intercultural conflicts and adapt to different cultural settings.

NEW MEDIA AND E-JOURNALISM

In this course students will explore and utilize techniques for integrating Social Media marketing as an integral component of marketing campaigns, serving as listening and outreach tools for building brand awareness and promoting business. Through an investigation of tools which include internet forums, message boards, blogs, wikis, podcasts, picture sharing, video sharing, and social networking, students will learn how social media can be leveraged as a powerful alternative to traditional interruptive advertising. You'll gain an overview of the current tools available, as well as the technologies that drive them

The New Media & E- Journalism introduces you to all facets of new media, encompassing design, production and interactivity. The course prepares you for a career in the current world of new media, and also equips you with skills necessary to adapt and thrive as this field evolves.

INTERNATIONAL COMMUNICATION AND IMAGE OF THE COUNTRY

10-days intensive, which gives the students an opportunity to have a deep understanding of country brand construction, international and media relations. The country image formation of is a very complex and multi-faced process, which takes into account different social, political, cultural and communicational aspects. This course offers a broad overview of communicational technologies, marketing and branding tools using in country branding. It also helps student to understand Russian peculiarities break some stereotypes about the country.
